As you've undoubtedly noticed our photo galleries have been down for awhile. The pictures are back up now but without the captions.  It will take a few more days to complete that part of the process.  Thanks for your patience.

Reunion Updates

Posted on 10 April 2010 | 1 Comments

Reunion plans are moving along.  To date, thanks in large to our super sleuth committee member, Elayne Gwardyak Hallstrom, only two class members have not been found.  If anyone knows how to reach Joan Batchelor Witkowski or Barbara Rawley, please contact the reunion committee, either through the contact page on this web site or by sending an e-mail to dhs1960reunion@hotmail.com.

Completing Bio Form Via the Reunion Web Site

Posted on 25 March 2010 | 0 Comments

A couple of folks have indicated that they were having difficulty submitting the bio form via the reunion web site.  This form requires at least Internet Explorer 7 to use.  Other browsers (e.g. Firefox) are compatible.  Once you complete the form and submit, you will receive a message on the web site that it was received.  If you do not see that message, then you should assume that your form did not go through.  In addition, an informal e-mail confirmation of receipt will be sent to you. Please make sure your e-mail address is included on the form and allow a day or two for the e-mail to arrive.

Guess Who Photo Gallery

Posted on 22 March 2010 | 1 Comments

To add a little challenge to photo viewing, a gallery called Guess Who has been included with old pictures but no captions.  Try your skill at identifying who is in the photos.  We'll keep you guessing until nearer reunion time when captions will be added.  It's not only fun to see our friends and classmates in all their youthful glory, but the backgrounds in many of the pictures bring back fond memories as well: old cars, military uniforms, party venues, church locales, etc.

Memory Lane Photos

Posted on 19 March 2010 | 0 Comments

Have a look at the Photo Gallery for a new section with old photos of our classmates that will take you down memory lane.  So far, photos have been provided by a few of our class members, but it would be great to have pictures sent in by more of you in order to provide a good representation of our entire class.  Photos may be sent at any time as this gallery will be updated as pictures come in.  We certainly need more representation of the boys/men in our class.  So, fellas, dig around in your "archives" and share your memories with all of us.

Storm Damage at Selzer School

Posted on 19 March 2010 | 0 Comments

For those classmates who no longer live in the Northeast, the storms that clobbered that area over the weekend of March 13th may not have garnered much attention.  Many towns in New Jersey were severely hit with wind and rain, and Dumont was among their number.  Selzer School in particular was badly hit, losing a good portion of its roof and perhaps as many as 12 classrooms.  Schools closed, no power in the town--can any of us ever remember having school closed because of rain and wind?

Links to Web Sites

Posted on 19 February 2010 | 2 Comments

As plans developed for our reunion, the reunion committee discovered, or was directed to, links of some very interesting and helpful web sites about the town of Dumont, its schools and its graduates.  We'd like to share them with you as they provided a lot of insight into our town and how it has grown and changed, not only since the years we lived there, but from its inception.  We're sure you will have as much fun as we did as we looked back with fondness at Dumont and also learned what is current in this very special town.
