Larry Hopper forwarded this obituary for Wallace Mangold.  Surely, we all remember Wally Mangold with affection and as a significant member of the DHS faculty during our four years at Dumont High School.  Below is the information regarding his life and passing:

MANGOLD
Wallace F., 87, of Deptford, on September 24, 2011. He was born in New York City and resided in River Vale before moving to Deptford in 1987. Wallace graduated from Dumont High School, Trenton State College and received his Master's Degree from Montclair State College. He later became an Educator and Guidance Counselor at Dumont High School for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He served in the US Navy during WWII and Korea. He was a member of the VFW Post 2174 Westville Grove and the Woodbury Kiwanis Club.

Wallace is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Florence Allen Mangold, loving daughter Melinda (William) Hills of West Deptford, sister Edna Berrian of Whiting, three grandchildren Jennifer, Dawn and William Jr. and great- grandson Robert.
