A Few Words and Some Fun Links

Posted on 7 March 2011 | 0 Comments

The holidays have come and gone and the new year is well underway.  Even though our 50th reunion is now a happy memory, postings will continue to appear on our web site from time to time.  So many connections were made or discovered back in September, and our web site is one more link to our past and to the future.

Many folks have let the reunion committee know that, since the reunion, they have gotten together with other classmates for visits, lunches, boat rides and horseback rides.  Still others now have ongoing correspondence either through e-mail or letter.  If you haven't already, take a look at the Family and Friends album on our web site since many new photos have been added.  Please continue to send us your pictures for posting by mailing them to Mary Ann Napolitan Hupp, 8145 Rosemont Drive, Plano, TX 75025 or e-mailing them to maz75025@yahoo.com.

Thanks to Elayne Gwardyak Hallstrom, we can continue our walk down memory lane.  Elayne once again discovered some great "links" to our past.  See below if you're in the mood for some fun nostalgia.

You will probably remember the group, The Diamonds, who launched their super hit "Little Darlin' " in 1957. Forty seven years later, they were requested to perform at Atlantic City.  This should bring back a few memories.  The link leads to both performances:   http://www.flixxy.com/the-diamonds-little-darlin-1957-2004..htm

This next link brings you to a who's who of performers who hail from New Jersey.  Never knew there were so many.  YouTube - Sounds Like New Jersey!

And finally, this link will take you to a site that runs shows from early TV--back in the days when we were growing up.  You could spend a lot of time here.  http://oldiestelevision.com/

Carol Beck Schmidt also sent a link that highlights New Jersey.  "Jersey" is a pretty amazing place.  New Jersey First & Facts
